چکیده
Modern data centers are playing a pivotal role in the global economic situation. Unlike high-quality source of waste heat, it is challenging to recover decentralized and low-quality heat sourced from due numerous technological hurdles. As such, utmost importance explore possible pathways maximize energy efficiency utilize their recovery. Absorption chiller systems promising technology for recovery at ultra-low temperatures. In fact, low temperature discharged cannot be retrieved with conventional systems. Therefore, present study investigated feasibility using an absorption system, ultimate goal electrical production. To fulfill this objective, techno-economic assessment (AC) technique power consumption range 4.5 13.5 MW performed. The proposed AC system enables saving electricity value 4,340,000 kWh/year 13,025,000 leading annual reduction 3068 9208 tons CO2 equivalent greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, respectively. results suggest optimum change design center while reducing payback period investors.

Thermodynamic feasibility of harvesting data center waste heat to drive an absorption chiller
More than half the energy to run a data center can be consumed by vapor-compression equipment that cools the center. To reduce consumption and recycle otherwise wasted thermal energy, this paper proposes an alternative cooling architecture that is heat driven and leads to a more efficient data center in terms of power usage effectiveness (PUE). The primary thermal source is waste heat produced ...
متن کاملA feasibility study and economic analysis for application of nanofluids in waste heat recovery
This paper presents a comprehensive theoretical, experimental, and economic study on the application of nanofluids as heat transfer fluid in waste heat recovery systems. The research work was conducted in a steel-making complex in which a plate heat exchanger had been used to recover heat from hot process water. The system was theoretically modelled and the effects of using nanofluids as he...

متن کاملData Mining for Modeling Chiller Systems in Data Centers
We present a data mining approach to model the cooling infrastructure in data centers, particularly the chiller ensemble. These infrastructures are poorly understood due to the lack of “first principles” models of chiller systems. At the same time, they abound in data due to instrumentation by modern sensor networks. We present a multi-level framework to transduce sensor streams into an actiona...
